Every subject, every class from 6 to 12, every board.

How it works

From last year's shelf to this year's bag

Three steps, and the book never leaves school.

  1. Step 1

    Join your school

Sign in with your email and a 6-digit code. Enter your school's invite code and admission number, and add a photo of your ID card if you like. Your school coordinator approves you.

  2. Step 2

    List or find a book

Your class's newest books come first. Search by subject or board, or post your own in a minute with a photo and a price, or mark it free or for swap.

  3. Step 3

    Hand it over at school

Meet at your school's hand-over point during school hours. No home addresses, no strangers, and no money inside the app.

Why students like it

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Safety

Safe by design, not by setting

Bithoo is built for children. Every part of it starts from one question: what is the least a stranger could ever learn or do?

How we keep students safe
  • Only your school. You only ever see students of your own school, approved by your school.
  • First name and class only. Nobody sees your surname, photo, email or phone number.
  • No contact details. Listings with phone numbers, emails or links are refused automatically.
  • Grown-ups in the loop. Coordinators approve students and review every report.
  • Your data, your choice. Delete your account from the app at any time.

For schools
No. The app is free for students and parents. Books are sold, swapped or given away between students, and any payment happens in person at school.
Students in classes 6 to 12 whose school is on Bithoo, and their parents.
A school (or a parent group with the school's blessing) gets a coordinator account and an invite code to share with students. Ask for Bithoo at your school.
Not for now. Students meet at their school's hand-over point to see a book. Messaging may come later, with the same safety rules.
Bithoo is launching on iPhone first. Android is planned.
